We are pleased to invite you to our upcoming Workshop on Guiding Vector Fields (GVFs) for Autonomous Robots, taking place at IROS 2025 in Hangzhou, China.
Guiding Vector Fields (GVFs) have emerged as a powerful and versatile framework for autonomous robot navigation, enabling effective motion control in a variety of settings. This four-hour workshop will offer a deep dive into recent theoretical and practical developments in the field, together with tutorials and real drone experiences with GVFs.
Meet and engage with researchers and developers in the field, including: Vinicius Goncalves, Weijia Yao, H.G. de Marina, Ming Cao, Xiaodong He, Bohuan Lin, Zhiyong Sun, Zirui Chen, and our students J. Bautista & D. Vela.
Topics Covered: Classical Guiding Vector Fields, Parametric GVFs, Inverse Kinematics GVFs, GVFs for non-holonomic robots, GVFs for surface following, Obstacle avoidance using GVFs, Coordinated motion of multi-robot systems.
